HOLOGATE wins ‘Best Location-Based Entertainment’ at the 2019 Lumiere Awards.
Munich, January 31st, 2019 – We almost jumped out of our tuxedos after being awarded the Lumiere Award for Best Location-Based Entertainment in the Steven J. Ross Theater last night. The HOLOGATE team feels very honored to receive this award and is grateful to witness the first baby steps of virtual reality as a new medium.
The Lumiere Awards recognize outstanding international achievement in the creation of immersive storytelling using advanced visual technologies like Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, High Dynamic Range, Stereo 3D, 360 Video, High Frame Rate, Artificial Intelligence, Real-Time Rendering and more.
The Advanced Imaging Society honors content and experiences produced for film, television, advertising, gaming, mobile, online and much more. Past Lumiere winners includes some of Hollywood’s biggest creative leaders, such as Martin Scorsese, Ang Lee, Victoria Alonso, Jon Favreau, and Jeffrey Katzenberg.
