The bounce-back of the out-of-home entertainment industry has begun!
We recently saw our numbers climb back to 90,000 players per week! This figure represents activity across hundreds of our partner’s venues across 36 countries and closely matches the average player data that we were recording back in January of 2020, just prior to the pandemic shut down. What is even more significant, is that this number is based on the regions that have been allowed to open following the implementation of strict health and safety protocols.
All this to say is that this is a strong indicator that people are ready to get out of their homes and back to entertainment venues!
One of our distribution vendors, Creative Works recently reported their observations when visiting the Texas locations of two leading family entertainment centers, ‘Andretti Indoor Karting & Games’ and ‘Main Event’. They were amazed when they arrived to see the parking lots and the facilities completely full. They also had observed the both had very clean facilities and had made notable upgrades to their attractions throughout. Any worry from guests not wanting to put on a virtual reality headset due to cleanliness issues was non-existent. They saw consistent lines for both our HOLOGATE ARENA and the HOLOGATE BLITZ throughout the entire visit.
Between seeing player numbers peak once again along with the recent report from Creative Works, it clearly shows that people are already moving forward with their lives, excited to experience fun again with their family and friends, and an encouraging outlook ahead for the entertainment industry.
